Havana, May 17 (Prensa Latina) Sultan Kosen, who with his 2.47 meters in height is recognized as the tallest man in the world, will visit Cuba again next Saturday, local media reported on Thursday.
According to a blog reviewed by the newspaper Juventud Rebelde, Kosen will arrive in Havana on Saturday afternoon schedule at the Terminal 3 of the Jose Marti International Airport, accompanied by his manager, Bobby Rostov, who intends to complete a trilogy of visits to the Caribbean country.
The trip aims to raise the name of Cuba at the highest international level as well as bring the Cuban people the nature of a sui generis event as is the encounter with the tallest human being on the planet.
Here we see that Sultan does stand up to 8 '1 or perhaps a little more if he were standing on the same line as the rule, seems to reach the 8' 3 " mark but he is ahead of the rule. The statue of Wadlow must be more than 9 'may be on any platform that increases the height. Although it is suspected that Wadlow was over 9 '... who knows?
here is standing next to the rule, but this image Sultan further from the camera and the rule more closely. I think 8 '1 "is the height that supports Sultan when he stands on his shoes.

The world’s tallest man is helping to raise funds for a Thai teenager.
Turkish farmer Sultan Kosen, 29, who stands at 2.51 metres, is recognised as the world’s tallest man by Guinness World Records.
Mr Kosen will visit Ripley’s Believe It or NOT! in Pattaya this weekend.
He has been invited to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Ripley's and will also raise funds for Pornpiroon Saichanchom, 17, of Phitsanulok, who is suffering from Marfan syndrome. She is 1.96m tall.
Ms Pronpiroon, also known as Mamiew, said the disorder makes it difficult for her to walk. She noticed she was unusually tall when she was about 12 and she is still growing.
She is taking medication to stop her growth, but her family cannot afford the medical expenses.
Mr Kosen’s growth resulted from a tumour affecting his pituitary gland. In March, treatment to control his excessive levels of growth hormone was hailed as halting his growth.
Malee Duangdee, 21, also a Marfan sufferer, also joined the visit.
