I don't think Associated Press allows linking to their images. But that does not matter that much as I won't be able to use them on the website. That would get the website in big trouble. I am also in the process of removing all images from Getty Images, Corbis images etc. because of copyright infringements. TheTallestMan.com is not a small website which can operate under the radar anymore.

Sad that these kind of sites, and many others, always restrict access to their content to other sites that increase in importance, because that goes in detriment to their visits, rather to the copyright infringements.

Maybe there are other ways to get copies of the same pics, even from the original ones, if the owners agree to.

There are not too many left, and only a very small percentage of the total number of images had to be removed (less than 1%). The sad part is that these images are amongst the most beautiful images available.

Folks, the answer is: compile your own picture gallery. I've been doing this for years, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. As long as you don't make them available online or transmit them to other people, there is nothing the legal owners of the images can do about it - not yet, anyway!
I don't know if it is so, but I suspect it was copyright problems that caused the demise of the excellent "Giants and Girls" website.

Yes, but that is YouTube's problem. They are hosting the videos. We are just using their embedding option to link to them. YouTube regularly removes videos because of copyright issues.

British Pathe owns all their videos, but I have been in contact with them and they did not mind taking a screen shot of their videos and using that screenshot to link to their videos.
